Hi I’m Jeff, the Founder/President of DiffGames. The inspiration for Race Jam first came about when I was in college. During all the boring classes I would daydream and come up with ideas for video games. After graduating, I quickly started working an equally boring data analyst job. It was fine as a first job out of college but I knew eventually I’d like to develop video games. Around 2020 I was browsing steam and noticed a disappointing pattern. The only new racing games that were being made were either simulation style or were designed to waste your time by having you drive around a barren open world. (The open world ones in particular drove me crazy. I’m playing a racing game to race, not to drive a 10 minute commute just to get to a race.) Once I realized arcade style racing games weren't really made anymore that’s when my old idea for Race Jam popped into my head. And that’s pretty much how the idea of making Race Jam came about.
